Hello friends! 🥂
Happy New Year! 2021 was a huge year for us here at Develop for Good, and we’re extremely excited to further our mission in 2022!
We’d like to thank all of our dedicated volunteers, nonprofit partners, donors, and the rest of the Develop for Good community. Cheers to what we can achieve this year 🙌🏼
📣 Volunteer & nonprofit applications have opened…and will stay open! 📣
Develop for Good will now be accepting student/mentor volunteer applications and nonprofit project proposals year-round. Due to popular demand, we’ll now be operating on a rolling basis, with new projects and volunteer cohorts launched every month. You heard us right; this means you have the flexibility to apply or submit a project request whenever you want!
For more information and FAQs about our new model, check out the updated Student Volunteer, Mentor, and Nonprofit pages on our website: developforgood.org!

The Big Fix @ Snyk 🛠
The Big Fix brings together developers, DevOps, and security practitioners to find and fix security vulnerabilities in a fun, inclusive way. This year, we aim to make software 100x more secure by identifying and fixing 202,200 security vulnerabilities!
For student & mentor volunteers: Sign up for the event by Feb 25 and you’ll learn (in just a few minutes!) how to find and fix security vulnerabilities in your projects (personal or professional) regardless of your skill level. And... If you fix at least one security vulnerability before the end of the event, you’ll get an awesome Big Fix shirt as well.
For nonprofits: Contact Bry Breckenridge (bry.breckenridge@snyk.io) if you’d be interested in having any of your open-source projects fixed for security vulnerabilities through this event!
