Welcome to our newest leaders 💫
In the true spirit of Women’s History Month, Develop for Good is proud to honor the powerful women leading and advising this nonprofit as it scales. Please join us in welcoming the legendary Erica McLain to our Board of Directors and the incredible Lisa Wong to our Advisory Board!
Erica McLain is a U.S. Track & Field Olympian and recent inductee into the Stanford Hall of Fame. She was the youngest triple jumper to compete at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and today, is a leader in Silicon Valley—a Product Manager at Google, alumnus of Facebook and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, and a graduate from both Stanford University and UC Berkeley Haas School of Business.
She’s broken barriers, set records, and inspires students everywhere to succeed on all playing fields 🏆
Lisa Wong is a senior technical leader with 20 years specializing in delivering an exceptional customer experience with emerging technologies. At Adobe, she shaped Creative Cloud and Adobe Stock as we know it today, and is currently Technology Director and Board Member at LWT: Advancing Women in Leadership.
She empowers women in all fields to grow their knowledge, leadership skills and network for greater impact 🚀
What students & nonprofits are saying about us 🗣️
“I got a lot of hand-ons learning that I felt helped me as a software developer. I improved not only my technical skills (picking up new frameworks/libraries, learning new concepts) but soft skills as well (communication, time management, task management, etc). My team was great - I felt like we learned a lot and I'm proud of what we accomplished.”
- Tracy, Student Developer for Scambi Festival project
“My team was the best part of this entire experience. I learned multiple skills because of the people on my team. How to talk to a client, assign tasks to designers, and approach a design challenge. I LOVED working on this project!”
- Saniya, Student Designer for Studyhall project
“Develop for Good has developed a state of the art website for us. This has been a milestone for our team as we will be able to showcase what we are doing in supporting initiatives that help children thrive! The other important thing worth mentioning is that there has been significant transfer of skills from the students to our team, building our confidence in ICT skill beyond website development. This is also a huge cost saving and a rare opportunity to find.”
- Kriss, Founder of nonprofit Do For Children
